fundraising

Congratulations to Dr Gina Brown and Duncan (16) who cycled from John O`Groats to Lands End to raise funds for Pelican in July 2010.  If you would like to make a donation to Pelican then please go to their Just Giving website - www.justgiving.com/Gina-Brown0

Why are we raising money?

Pelican Cancer Foundation is all about improving cancer patients chances of enjoying a long life.

Pelican stands for Pelvic Liver Cancer and we support medical research and medical education to improve surgery for bowel, liver and urology cancers – cancers below the belt.

We concentrate on surgery because it’s the most effective treatment for internal cancers.  With good surgery patients can enjoy long and happy lives but there are still questions to be answered - too many patients have sexual and urinary problems after treatment for cancer below the belt.

Please help us to find the answers that can improve the life opportunities of today’s cancer patients.

Can you help us raise money?  How about:

Golf days, sponsored dressng up/down days, coffee mornings, marathon running, exotic treks, discos, fashion shows, clay pidgeon shoots, bridge events, raffles........... the ideas are numerous and the more imaginative the better! We would love to hear from you with your ideas.

Contact Juliet in the Pelican office on 01256 314746, admin@pelicancancer.org if you would like some help with sponsor forms etc.

Pelican holds a small number of events every year and we are always grateful to our friends who provide so much help and support.
