Bladder cancer research

Pelican supports research that informs and improves bladder cancer treatment today.

The Basingstoke Department of Urology has a special interest in the treatment of superficial bladder cancer and has helped to develop new techniques for treating this condition, including intraoperative administration of chemotherapy into the bladder, microwave hyperthermia. The department is actively involved in National trials in bladder cancer and has a research link with the University of Reading.
