Many of us make goals or resolutions that we want to work towards each year. If you have made one (or several), have you considered that you could also help others at the same time?

Make your personal goals do good for others, as well as for yourself!

Get extra motivation to succeed by fundraising for a Pelican Cancer Foundation at the same time. Share your resolution with family, friends, colleagues and peers and ask them to sponsor you. Knowing that you are raising money for a good cause can give you that extra boost and determination to hit your target.

Your goal might be…

  • I want to complete ‘Couch to 5K’ – you could ask people to sponsor you.
  • I want to declutter – list items on eBay and donate a percentage of the profits.
  • I want to be more active – you could set a target distance to reach in a set time. Maybe in 30 days you want to walk 100km (that’s just over 2 miles each day).

Or maybe you are training for a race and could raise sponsorship. Check out these sporting challenges.

We are all different and your challenge can be as big or small as you want. (It may be too easy for some and too difficult for others, but this does not make your challenge any less worthy – it’s yours to set!).

Handling sponsorship is easy – set up your own page on JustGiving and it will manage all the donations you receive.

Whatever you decide to do, helping Pelican Cancer Foundation will give you a bonus achievement alongside your resolution – two for the price of one!

Good luck!
