Sadly, the Pelican Film Society is paused for the foreseeable future.
Paused due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Pelican Film Society ran from 2003 – 2020, showing films which either never made it to Basingstoke, or which came and went too quickly for most to see. It provided an opportunity to see recent, art-house and classic films on the huge screen at The Ark Conference Centre. Screening once a month, from September to July, films were shown to Pelican Film Society members and guests, raising funds to support our work. Special evenings also included themed dinners in The Blue Cafe Bar, in The Ark.
The Pelican Film Society remains paused for the foreseeable future.
